Robert Massengill Named President of Ace Retail Group

KANSAS CITY, Mo. (June 9, 2026) – Ace Retail Group, owner and operator of more than 260 Ace Hardware stores across 18 states, has named Robert Massengill as its new president. Massengill, a 20-year veteran of the company, brings a distinctive blend of operational leadership, strategic development, and legal expertise to the role.

As president, Massengill will lead enterprise-wide strategy, operations, and growth across Ace Retail Group’s multi-state retail hardware platform. Prior to his appointment, he served as senior vice president of business development and general counsel for the company. In that role, he oversaw new store development, enterprise expansion, commercial business, legal strategy and compliance.

Throughout his 20-year tenure, Massengill has been a driving force behind the company’s expansion of store footprint and growth of commercial business across the United States.

Massengill holds a Master of Business Administration and a Juris Doctor from the University of Missouri-Kansas City.
